In preparation for the 2017 ISBHF World Senior and Women’s Ball Hockey Championship that will be held June 3-10 in Pardubice, CZE, ASHI’s USA Women’s National Team participated in and held their final camp at the United Women’s Ball Hockey Foundation Springfest in Dracut, MA April 28-30.

Members of the National Team were split into two teams within the Women’s A Division: UWBHF Breakaway Speed and UWBHF Tito’s Score Responsibly.

Breakaway Speed featured: Eleni Aidonidis, Carli Bekkering, Lindsey Bitler, Stefanie Caban, Haley Frade, Eileen Meslar, Amber Moore, Sara Reddington, Erica Simpson, Cherie Stewart, and Danielle Strohmier.

Tito’s Score Responsibly included: Julia Bronson, Liane Dixon, Becky Dobson, Kelly Foley, Paige Harrington, Alessandra Glista, Nikki Gnozzio, Karen Levin, Kayla McCuean, Tiffany Pokora, Taylor Steadman, and Lindsay Wilde.

The two teams faced off in the Women’s A final with the game ending in a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation. The game headed to a shoot-out with Bitler scoring for Breakaway and Pokora and McCuean answering for Tito’s Score Responsibly giving them the 2-1 shoot-out victory.

Steadman took home the Women’s A MVP Award, with McCuean winning MVD honors, and Bekkering being named MVG.

Current and former National Team players also hosted a Skills Competition with prospects aged 10-16.
