Describe what it means for you to be named an Alternate of this team?

It is a great honor to be named an alternate of the team and it shows me that my peers look up to me for leadership.

What are the responsibilities of a captain?

The responsibilities of the captain/alternate are to be a team leader, keep the team in order, bring them up when we are down. Prep talks before and during games are key.

What are the keys to making sure your team will be as successful as it can be at the WBHC?

Stay positive, work hard and run hard, and not having negative attitudes on the bench.

What style of leadership will you bring?

I like to lead by setting a good example for my teammates. Positive attitude at all times.

Who do you credit for your success as both a person and a hockey player?

I would say my parents for their time & dedication bringing me to hockey every week since I was 3 years old. Especially, my father for his own personal experience with hockey and him pushing me to do better every day, every game and to never give up.

How do you prepare for games? Are there any superstitions you follow?

I mentally prepare for the games with the mindset of always being positive and getting all your negative emotions out before the game starts.
