ASHI’s Team USA Women’s Division came up just short at the 2016 Ballhockey.com World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships as U.S.A. Happy Endings and U.S.A. Erica Simpson (Concord, NH) led the team in points with a goal and three assists, and Becky Dobson (Doylestown, PA), Blake Blomdahl (Somers Point, NJ) and Lindsey Bitler collected 2 goals each. The top seed heading into the “A” bracket playoffs, U.S.A. Happy Endings won their semifinal match-up 4-3 in a shootout. Dobson scored the only shootout goal, and Glista stopped all three shots she faced. In the championship game, the team battled to the end but lost 1-0 to the London Norstars.

In the preliminary round, U.S.A. Girls on Top went 2-1-1 and ended the round in a three-way tie. Cherie Stewart (Fountain Valley, CA) led the team with three points (two goals, one assist).
Haley Frade (Denville, NJ) had the team’s lone goals in their 1-0 win and 1-1 tie. After a coin flip, the team was given the top seed in the “B” bracket, but lost a heart breaker in overtime in the semifinals, 3-2.
