WINCHENDON, Mass. – ASHI Team USA Women’s Division General Manager Jason Kelly announced that defenseman Paige Harrington (Mansfield, MA) has been added to the USA Women’s National Team roster for the 2017 ISBHF World Senior and Women’s Ball Hockey Championship June 3-10 in Pardubice, Czech Republic.

Harrington recently captured the NWHL’s Isobel Cup with the Buffalo Beauts, and has skated in all but one game for the team over the last two seasons. In 34 career regular season games she has three assists and 26 penalty minutes.

Prior to joining the Beauts, Harrington spent one season at Penn State and three seasons at ACHA powerhouse UMass. In her senior year with the Minutewomen, she had 26 points in 28 games and co-captained the team to the ECWHL Conference title. That same season she was named First Team All-Conference player and First Team All-American.

A left-handed defenseman, Harrington served as an assistant captain for USA Hockey at the 2013 and 2015 Winter World University Games, and captured the bronze medal in 2013. Harrington is filling the roster spot left open following the retirement of assistant captain Roxanne Gaudiel due to post-concussion symptoms.

Notes: During the weekend of April 29-30 in Dracut, MA the team will be holding their last camp before leaving for the Czech Republic. ASHI’s Women’s Division general manager is Jason Kelly (Media, PA). Gwen Ranquist-Lemieux (Hamilton, ON), who served as head coach from 2006-07, returns behind the bench in 2017. She will be joined by assistant coaches Dorene Sheets (Vancouver, BC), Jason Glista (Winthrop, MA), and goalie coach Thomas Bricklemyer (Philadelphia, PA).
